Yesterday, scientists at the University of Warwick in England unveiled a race car that runs on chocolate, or at least the waste from a chocolate factory. The car, built to Formula 3 specifications, is even more distinct because it’s also built using biodegradable materials. The steering wheel, seat and car body are all made from plant fibers from carrots, flax, soybean and various root vegetables. The engine runs on a mixture of vegetable oil and chocolate waste.
